Miller wins Duryea for fifth time since '03
Merlin Miller of Leesport found himself back in Victory Lane Sunday at the Duryea Hillclimb, winning the overall title with a run of 110.737 seconds in his 1966 Sunbeam Tiger.
It was the Miller's fifth title since 2003.
Miller broke his own mark to set the standard for the Super Production O class. Jeremy Deitzel of Wexford, the 2010 Duryea winner, finished second, setting the Improved Touring E class record in his Mitsubishi Evo with a time 111.965. Racing in the same class, Bill Miller of Harrisburg was third overall in 114.618.
George Bowland of Mill Spring, S.C., holds the mark for fastest to the top, covering the Reading course from City Park to Skyline Drive in 105.528 in 2008.
