Pass on to others who may be interested. The more the merrier.
The Inn provides parking lot security until 2 AM. After that time, the Reading Police tour the lot and the Muhlenberg Police tour the lot. The property spans the City of Reading and Muhlenherg Township, and gets double coverage.
I would still park in a way that the race cars or trailers are most secure.
(NO there's not a problem and NO this is not a dangerous area. The opposite.)
I did 20 yrs in the Navy as an Office Manager and I always remind people to keep security in mind.
The other hotels in the area charge $129, $149, $189... so the $69 rate is really good compared to the others. Your preference though.
To get from the Americas Best Value Inn to Duryea,
climb on the bypass and go East on Rte 12 (towards the mountain)
Get off at the next exit, 11th street exit, and go right - towards the City.
It's down a grade.
At the traffic light go Left onto Rockland St. (Bank & CVS Pharmacy on left near corner, grocery store on left far corner)
At 13th St (the end), go Right onto 13th St.
Follow 13th St in to City Park... and the Starting Line.
